- Contestants submit a photo of their ugly couch. The total number of entries will be narrowed down to the top twenty (20) semi-finalists by a panel of guest judges chosen by Sure Fit.
- The twenty (20) semi-finalists will then be posted online at Surefit.com during October 13, 2008 to 11:59 PM (ET) November 14, 2008, and the American public will vote for the grand prize winner.
- The grand prize winner will receive a room makeover using interior design services chosen by Sure Fit and utilizing Sure Fit products (a value up to $5,000!).
Click to view the official rules. The criteria used by voters throughout the contest is: ugliness of overall design and fabric pattern, offensiveness of color, inappropriateness of fabric and any combination of the above as it relates to any period in the recent history of furniture.
