Contemporary look, traditional feel.
Now available in a separate seat, this plush material will make you want to relax the whole day! The diamond pattern gives a contemporary look, but a traditional feel. Extra soft and comfortable, our stretch material makes hard-to-fit furniture easy to cover. 96% Polyester / 4% Spandex. Machine wash separately in cold water, do not use bleach. Gentle cycle, tumble dry low.
I got the Royal Diamond sofa and chair slipcovers a couple of years ago. They are very easy to put on. They look nice except after sitting on them for awhile the fabric must stretch out some. The fabric below the arms, in the front, was smooth at first. But with use, its baggy and no matter how much stretch and tuck I cannot get the smooth look. I have a fairly expensive sofa and chair so its still cheaper than buying new. I will try the Bahama and hopefully it will have a more tailored look. Overall, the fabric is very nice and easy to install.
I bought the stretch diamond couch cover with separate seat and the recliner cover. Couch: fits pretty good even with odd-shaped attached back cushions. A few wrinkles on the inside of the arms. The separate seat is great: holds the two seat cushions together and helps keep the whole cover in place. Recliner: My recliner measures larger than the size indicated, with wide arms and a lot of cushion on the top of the seat back. The cover fits great and stays in place well. Only a little tucking required to put the seat part back in place if I am feeling fussy. I've only had the covers for a week, so I don't know how they will hold up over time.
I put this on about 3 months ago and was very pleased initially. In the past few weeks it has shown considerable wear already with fading and pilling. I've tried several different brands/styles over the past two years and these are the most challenging. I'm not sure what the life span is on these? The furniture is used every other day for a few hours at most. We have dogs and one (English Springer) sheds. I end up hand picking because the dander becomes embedded in the fibers and will not release with either a vacuum or sticky roller sheets. They do not stay put at all, but once in look fantastic. I've purchased the long plastic pieces to hold them in place, but they do nothing. I am about to reorder due to the wear and high maintenance and will definitely look for a different type.
